“الحديقة الشرقية” – “Al Hadiqa Ash‘sharqiah”
There is a very unique, Korean themed small park in a neighborhood in the heart of Riyadh.
The central attraction of the park is undoubtedly the traditional Korean wooden pavilions with its typical Dancheong decorative art.
This type of paintwork art consist of five colors paterns. It is not only decorative in Korean culture but also functions as a layer to protect wood from insects and harsh weather conditions.
The park also features a football field and kids playground. Unfortunately, no exotic plants from the Korean peninsula can be found there due to harsh weather of Riyadh during summer.
It is a small piece of Korean culture in the capital of Saudi Arabia that symbolizes the good friendship between the two nations.
