Al Jenadriah Cultural & Heritage Festival

“Al Jenadriah Cultural & Heritage Festival-مهرجان الجنادرية”

This is an annual festival that takes place in a huge area in the suburbs of Riyadh. It started in 1985 and this is the 33 version of it.

As the name says, it‘s a Cultural and Heritage Festival. In fact, the biggest of it kind in the region, aiming to perverse the culture and heritage and connecting them with the modern life.

Each Province is represented by it‘s own pavilion featuring it‘s own Architecture, Music, daces, traditional arts, crafts and food and all of this live!

The festival also features other activities such as a grand camel racing, falconry and so much more.

It‘s like traveling around the Arabian peninsula and meeting it’s people, but all in one place.

There is also a guest Country each year. Indonesia was the Guest of 2018/2019.

🎟Tickets: Free admission

⏱Time: the festival happens annualy starting from mid December and lasts for three weeks. The next one will probably start in mid December 2019. exact dates will be given by November 2019.

🚌: There are usually shuttle busses arranged to take visitor to/from the Venue from/to Riyadh for a just 5 Saudi Riyals. Going by a private car is also possible.
