
King Abdulaziz Historical Center is a pedestrian-friendly place, where several cultural institutes are located. For instance the national museum of Saudi Arabia, Qasr Al Murabba and a national library.
The development of this area in 1999 was part of the big centennial celebration of the founding date of the country in 2002 known as Al Miawiya celebration (Arabic: إحتفال المئوية)

What’s amazing about it is the vast green space it offers. King Abdulaziz Historical Center is home for 7 stunningly beautiful fenced parks in addition to other open green spaces.
Visitors can also find a good and diverse architecture, varying from traditional Najdi architecture, e.g. Al Murabba, to modern contemporary designed structures, e.g. The National Museum. This center is a true reflection of the regions cultural and geographical identity and it‘s evolution throughout the years.
Visiting this place and is highly recomended, especially when tempretures gets cooler between October and May. It should definitely be on the top things to do in Riyadh for any visitor.
