The Korean park is a very unique, small neighborhood park located in the heart of Riyadh.
The park features an outdoors football field and a kids playground, however, the main highlight of the park is the beautiful pavilion structures that celebrates the friendship between the Republic of Korea and the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
These Korean pavilions are known for their traditional Korean Dancheong art.
Dancheong is a type of paintwork art consists of five colors and paterns. It is not only decorative in Korean culture but also functions as a layer to protect wood from insects and harsh weather conditions.
These might not be authentic pieces from Korea but they still hold a good link to the culture.
Unfortunately, there are no exotic plants from the Korean peninsula, probably because of the harsh weather condition in Riyadh during summer.
This korean park is piece of Korean culture in the capital of Saudi Arabia bit it symbolizes the historically good friendship between the two nations.
