While driving through the downtown of Riyadh you’ve probably seen this inverted pyramid crowned by a dome as described by some people. For us it looks like a gigantic flying saucer 👽. One of our favorite landmarks in Riyadh.
It is the ministry of Interior which was built in the 1990’s. It has the responsibility of national security, which makes it extremely secured. it is not open for public and unfortunately it is impossible to find photos of the interior design.
Beside Riyadh’s water tower It was Riyadh’s landmark until the real “stretched” pyramid “Alfaisaliah” was built in 2000.
